Job description

We are seeking to appoint a full-time well-qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of History and Politics to start in September 2024.  The successful applicant will be able to teach History across the curriculum, from KS3 to A level, alongside also elements of our A level Politics course.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate confident subject knowledge and have the ability to inspire and motivate students to work independently. A real enthusiasm for teaching History and Politics and a commitment to a full and inclusive extracurricular programme are essential, alongside a meticulous and professional approach to their teaching.

All teaching staff are expected to contribute to the pastoral and enrichment programmes of the School. In addition to teaching, the post holder will also have pastoral responsibilities within their allocated year group. All staff share the responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of the students, in accordance with the School’s Safeguarding policies.
