About Our Client
A UK-based company that offers an array of services and solutions to businesses across various industries. Amongst their services is R&D, supporting clients in navigating the complexity of R&D Tax Credit Claims. Located in Castle Donnington.
Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
- Communicate with clients through phone, video calls, and email.
- Conduct thorough investigations and ask probing questions to identify completed R&D projects, assess understanding of guidelines, and ensure compliance with requirements.
- Collaborate with accountants and finance teams to gather financial statements/accounts.
- Translate client-provided information into technically sound R&D reports for submission to HMRC.
- Become proficient in our in-house Merlin R&D system, enabling you to train clients on its usage and utilise the software for report writing.
The Successful Applicant
Skills and Knowledge:
- Thorough knowledge of the R&D sector and legislation.
- Confident and friendly demeanour.
- Inquisitive nature and comfortable asking open-ended questions.
- Quick learner with the ability to grasp new concepts swiftly.
- Capable of building strong relationships with clients.
- Adherence to deadlines.
- Self-sufficient and able to work independently.
- Accountancy experience is beneficial, but not mandatory.
