Job Description Job Title: Technical Support Engineer Working Pattern: Full Time Working location: East Grinstead based - Hybrid working available Why Rolls-Royce? As a Technical Support Engineer, you will Report to the Technical Manager for the Marine & Governmental Business Unit as the subject matter expert for Rolls-Royce Solutions Marine & Governmental power and propulsion products. In this position, you will travel within the UK & ROI providing technical support to customers, additionally you will spend time overseas which will include product training in Europe. You will use both Mechanical and Electrical experience in order to effectively deliver support required by the services team. What you will be doing: As a Technical Support Engineer, you will enjoy the opportunity to: Promote a zero-harm culture by working with and ensure that all HSQE requirements are met with all work that is carried out by the team. Ensure first class customer liaison including fulfilment of all reasonable customer requests. Responsible for providing technical support to both internal and external stakeholders. This includes, but not limited to, electrical, mechanical, controls and ongoing service and customer operations for the UK, Ireland and overseas territories (where applicable). Maintain project technical files (Drawings, wiring diagrams etc) - electronic and/or hard copy. Support the development and maintenance of Engineering work instructions within the Marine & Governmental Business Unit Provide commercial and technical reports or presentations as required to the internal management team and to the wider external end user base as required. Maintain excellent liaison with customers and all internal and parent company departments and participate generally in all cross departmental interactions. When required to do so attend customer meetings and sites to ensure specification compliance and customer satisfaction. Support and or deliver training programs as required. Lead resolution of technical service issues. Lead development of new technical solutions to support the service team. To be considered for this exciting role, you will require: 5 Years Field Service Experience with internal combustion engines and appropriate qualifications in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering OR Similar relevant qualification or demonstrable industry experience Qualified/Conversant with MTU Marine & Governmental power and propulsion products.
