Due to the retirement of the current postholder, the Community Occupational Therapy Service is looking to recruit a Moving and Handling Associate to work alongside their Moving and Handling Team.
The post is a full time post and successful applicants will need to demonstrate their experience in moving and handling of individuals.
The post holder will have their own caseload and will be responsible for the assessment and provision of moving and handling equipment to support individuals to remain in their own home with care and support from formal and informal carers.
Support and supervision will be available from Occupational Therapists and Advanced Practitioner Occupational Therapists.
Training and supervision will be given to ensure that staff are competent to complete their own work.
The post is Borough Wide and applicants will need to be able to travel throughout the borough and complete moving and handling assessments and demonstrate the equipment to informal and formal carers.
In accordance with Section 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 this post requires the ability to converse at ease with the members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English.
