Support Worker

Join our Young Peoples and Young Families team as a Support Worker
Housing sits at the heart of our organisation. We believe that everyone deserves a safe, secure, affordable home. Providing care and support to those who need it is an important part of what we do. We work with people experiencing homelessness and who often have other support needs. Our services include hostels, young peoples’ accommodation services and support delivered in the community; where we provide tailored support that prepares our customers to achieve independence and re-integrate within the community.

The role
We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join us in the position of Support Worker.
Salary: £26,037 per annum
Location: Hackney
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: Early and Late Shifts, Rolling Rota - every other weekend. ( Early shift 7:30-3:30pm, Late shift 12:30pm-8:30pm)
Elderfield Road is part of One Housing's young person's service, where we accommodate and support up to 60 young people age 16 to 24yrs with various complex needs including young vulnerable parents and their babies/children.
Our young people are from disadvantaged backgrounds and are on low incomes which has an impact on them financially. We aim to provide them with the skills and tools that they need to live independently, we run workshops including: cooking sessions, budgeting meetings with a financial advisor, training and employment skills sessions and groups with guest speakers on a weekly basis.
