Job description
Main Responsibilities
- Interface closely with the Product R&D team in Trina HQ for topics relating to the mechanical, electrical, thermal and BMS for solving site issues
- Continuously improving Elementa production line with feedback from customers, project execution team with emphasis on performance based components
- Ownership of product documentation development and management, including documentation for both internal and external audiences
- Interface with Product R&D to ensure compliance with local regulations and safety standards in the design and engineering of current and future generations of the Elementa
- Lead design analysis, modeling and validation tasks (DRA, SC, Arc flash studies, ERP, etc.)
- Work with Project Execution team to take feedback for improvement into design / production processes of the Elementa and other related technical issues
- Working with other equipment suppliers (PCS, MV Skid and PPC) to qualify and validate integration of Elementa with their products
- Work closely with Product Marketing teams to provide input for clear marketing materials
- Support customers as a technical advisor in finding creative solutions to address complex projects
- Assist sales in conducting system capabilities and understand specific customer needs
- Analysis of competitor solutions and insights into what development is needed to increase differentiation or close gaps
Your profile
- Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Power Systems
- 5+ years of engineering background in utility scale electrical power systems
- 2+ year of experience in BESS integration from cell to PCS
- Knowledge of technical requirements of ISOs, DSO and TSO owners, and compliance with interconnection agreements
- Ability to solve complex technical problems and communicate results
- Ability to review contracts and technical requirements
- Takes individual initiative and works with minimal supervision while being a collaborative team player
- Demonstrated track record of managing a technical product with dispersed functional teams and a global supply chain
- Has excellent English verbal and writing skills. German language or international work experience are a plus
- Willing to travel domestically and international up to 30%
- Willing to work in a diverse global organization
- Provide thought leadership in product planning and strategy discussions
Languages: - Fluent in English, additional language is a plus
