About the role as the EYFS Teacher Assistant We are working with an inclusive community school in Camden, with a clear mission and values. The school is proud of their diverse and vibrant school community, and they are committed to providing high-quality teaching and learning for all pupils. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and skilled teaching assistant to join their Early Years team, working 5 days a week.
As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will: - Support the class teacher in delivering the curriculum and creating a stimulating and engaging learning environment.
- Work with small groups or individual pupils, both in and out of the classroom, to deliver targeted interventions based on their needs and abilities.
- Monitor and assess pupils\' progress and provide feedback to the teacher and parents.
- Promote the school\'s values of peace, respect, responsibility and resilience.
- Participate in the school\'s professional development programme and work collaboratively with other staff members.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in childcare or education
- Experience of working with children in Early Years settings, preferably in a school context
- Knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework and the principles of effective practice.
- Ability to deliver interventions based on speech and language, social skills, gross and fine motor, emotional control and resilience, and academic support.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff and parents.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- A positive and flexible attitude, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
