Job Type: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 45 Hours
The Client:
Our client is a reputable childcare provider, offering care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years in secure and nurturing environment.
The Role:
As a Nursery Practitioner , you will be overseeing daily nursery activities and implementing planning, observation, and assessment procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Prioritising children's well-being and ensuring their needs are met..
- Supporting children's physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development
- Encouraging children's independence and self-awareness.
- Contributing to a suitable curriculum in consultation with the management team.
- Promoting nursery policies and maintaining high standards.
- Building professional relationships with parents / carers.
- Settling new children and families through effective communication.
- Supporting students, trainees, and volunteers.
- Utilising the recording system (Tapestry) for effective data management.
- Completing administrative tasks in a timely manner.
- Teaching phonics to children and facilitating communication with other settings.
- Participating in meetings and workshops.
Requirements:
- Previously worked as a Nursery Practitioner or in a similar role.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with children aged 0-5 years.
- NVQ Level 2 - 3 or equivalent qualification in childcare or related subject.
- Understanding of child protection, health, safety, security, equal opportunities, and confidentiality policies
- Familiarity with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Enhanced DBS check.
- First aid certificate. (Preferred)
Shifts:
- 7:30am - 5:30pm
- 8:00am - 6:00pm
