Position: Management Accountant
Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: Up to £46,000
Reporting to the Head of Finance
Hybrid, 3 days in the office and 2 days at home
Our client a private equity backed business which is experiencing sustained growth, and undertaking M&A activity is looking for a Management Accountantto join their growing finance team.
This role is pivotal within a growing finance team. Reporting into the Head of Finance, you will work alongside the Finance leadership team on various projects as well as undertaking a breadth of activities across the accounting function, including sales and purchase ledger, nominal ledger and balance sheet reconciliations.
The Management Accountant will also have ownership of all accounting elements of one of the key clients gaining exposure to critical financial impacts and ensuring a collaborative and proactive working relationship.
This will also enable you to build close working relationships with internal departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparation of Monthly Management Accounts to P&L and Balance Sheet
- Assist with and complete general accounts tasks (where required), including:
- Accruals & Reconciliation
- Inter-Company Invoicing & Reconciliation
- General Ledger management
- Journal Postings where required, i.e. prepayments, accruals, depreciation.
- Support clients and supply chain with queries which arise on an ad-hoc basis
- To ensure that the Fixed Asset register is kept up to date
- Provide support to annual audit processes
- Undertaking financial administration and Internal audits/testing of controls
- Manage the accounting processes for the Umbrella payroll business
- Manage the Care clients accounting processes, including ensuring the supply chain is paid promptly.
- Liaising with the team and sharing ideas / improvement points

- High levels of accountability and a proactive mindset
- Adaptable, flexible and willing to go the extra mile
- Experience of providing mentoring and support to a team of developing Finance professionals
- Excellent systems skills and a demonstrable working knowledge of Microsoft products including MS Dynamics would be beneficial.
- This role requires a technologically minded individual, comfortable processing and scrutinise data
- Studying for an accounting professional qualification (CIMA, ACCA) is essential, preferably at finalist stages. We are committed to investing and supporting the professional growth of all of our team.
