Senior Optical Engineer Working on complex long term projects within the space industry this role combines a balance of optical engineering and hands on lab based investigation work. Taking ownership of large projects you will run several in parallel based at a state of the art lab facility working in parallel with teams of cross functional engineers. The role is based in Guildford but the company is flexible with hybrid working. It is key that along with a good understanding of optics you also enjoy the hands on side of lab work, as you will be involved with development at all stages from prototype to assembly, integration and verification. Although Zemax or other optical design experience would be beneficial they do have specialist teams in this area so it is not essential. For this role we are looking for: - A degree/MSc in Physics, Mechanical or Electronic engineering. - Experience of working with optics, lasers or photonic products. - Proven industry or research experience since gradation.
