Job description
Assistant Grounds Maintenance is required to work as a member of a team of 2 looking after the grounds of a small estate outside Stamford. The successful applicant should be physically fit and happy to work outdoors for most of the week . Ideally applicants should have experience of using basic garden machinery such as mowers / strimmers etc and some experience of chainsaws would be useful although there will be the opportunity for the successful applicant to receive training on a wide range of garden machinery. A basic knowledge of plants and garden management practices would be desirable. The role is for a 40 hours week with significant opportunities for extra hours at overtime rates when required. A full set of workwear will be provided . Rate of pay is £11.50. A driving licence and own transport is essential as this is a rural location although there may be the possibility of a company van after probationary period. Pension and 28 days annual holiday.
