WHAT TO EXPECT: 

Import & Export Operations or IEO (formerly Trading Division) was set up in 2012 to enable JLR to ‘buy, move and sell’ components to its manufacturing operations overseas, and to meet the Jaguar Land Rover corporate objective of ‘Global Growth’. 

Commercial Operations function within IEO exists to ensure services are provided to operations that are best in class, efficient and value for money. Categories of services include warehousing, freight, packaging, quality and professional services. A Contracts Manager is required to provide leadership and guidance to a team of Contract Analysts plus support functions and achieve our mission to “……deliver successful commercial strategies that maximise the impact of Import & Export Operations.”

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Lead commercial team in the delivery of strategic projects and overall contract management.
• Responsible for the compliance of Commercial Operations to company policies and procedures particularly related to service provider engagement and management of spend
• Provide intelligence to stakeholders based on interpreting market data and industry trends.
• Provide technical advice, support and reports to senior stakeholders and operational management teams.
• Manage the senior governance schedule for key service providers including quarterly and annual business reviews.
• Act as an escalation point for Commercial Operations in relation to day to day activities.
• Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested from time to time.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED: 

• Experience of working within all elements of contract lifecycle
• Specialised in contract management including performance, spend and risk
• Strong track record of building and enhancing relationships with service providers and key stakeholders
• Ability to present complex information and influence senior stakeholders
• Demonstrable experience in delivering business improvement and process re-engineering
• Excellent communication, collaboration and analytical skills, including the ability to make fact-based data-driven decisions considering multiple and competing factors.
