Housekeeping assistant

Salary:                   Approx Net £1100.00 + £200.00 bonus per month, plus free live-in board and lodging.

Stocks Hotel is a high-quality luxury country house hotel on the Island of Sark.  Owned privately by a local family the hotel re-opened in 2011 following a major refurbishment of the entire hotel, including the restaurant, poolside bistro and bar, and since that time has achieved its ranking of the top hotel on Sark, and the second hotel in the entire Channel Islands on Trip Advisor.  In 2019 the hotel achieved 4 AA silver stars and 3 rosettes and was recently awarded Travellers Choice in the Trip Advisor top 10 small hotels.

The hotel is currently looking for a dedicated housekeeping assistant to work in our 23 bedroom luxury hotel.

The hotel’s 23 bedrooms include 16 superior rooms, 2 family rooms and 5 suites. Housekeeping is also looking after the hotel communal areas, laundry department, and the purpose-built staff lodge, which counts 20 bedrooms and a communal kitchen/living area.

The housekeeping assistant needs to be personable, hard-working, and punctual. Good personal grooming and cleanliness are also essential.

Our housekeeping assistant should have ideally worked in a similar establishment in the past. They should also be able to work in an efficient, calm, and organised manner. Our housekeeping assistant will work closely with the housekeeping manager and communicate with reception.

This position is a live-in position with accommodation and meals included. 

Requirements

Ideally with previous experience or training in a similar high quality luxury hotel environment.

Must be fit, as this is a physically demanding position.

Must be a neat, tidy, organised, efficient and methodical worker.

Must be honest and trustworthy.

Must speak and understand English.
