About the role: Are you a copywriter looking for an exciting new challenge for 2024? Tesco Creative Studio is one of the fastest growing in-house creative agencies in the UK, producing outstanding work that’s seen by millions of people every day. And if you’re looking for the next step up in your career, and have at least 2 years’ experience, we want to hear from you. Fast-paced, creative, collaborative, and hugely enjoyable. Being a writer in Tesco Creative Studio, you can guarantee no two days are the same. You might be asked to have ideas for an engaging social campaign for Pet Insurance, promote the latest F&F clothing collection online, write an email for Tesco Mobile or craft concepts for a new product launch - and all this with attention to detail and in our famous Tesco tone of voice. Part of a close-knit team. As well as your fellow writers, designers, artworkers and publishers in the Creative Studio team, you’ll work closely with colleagues in the wider customer team, as well as our outside agencies and stakeholders from across Tesco Group. The space to create together. To make sure our team has the right environment to think, write and collaborate, this role requires a minimum of two days a week, on site at the Welwyn Garden City campus. We also have regular team days and social events at our central London offices and many opportunities to take advantage of our award-winning learning and career development. You will be responsible for: Creating compelling customer-facing comms for the whole Tesco Group, including Tesco Retail (UK, ROI, CE), Tesco Bank and Tesco Mobile. Writing for a huge variety of channels that could include video, audio, press, email, direct mail, in-store, digital, social and online. Being an ambassador for the Tesco tone of voice across multiple touch-points. Contributing towards conceptual campaigns, often working in a team, to bring 'the big idea’ to campaigns and seasonal work. You will need: A breadth of work that shows both great copywriting skills and conceptual thinking. Experience of writing for FMCG and/or financial services would be a bonus but not essential. A clear understanding of how tone of voice is essential to brand perception. A dedication to high quality writing, editing and grammatical accuracy. A clear understanding of how to adapt copy across multiple different channels, with examples of writing for online, email, social and print. A team orientated individual with a creative mind and a can-do attitude. A real love of written communication and collaboration, with a view to engage, entertain and encourage action.
