Job description
Our delightful senior client in Richmond is seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time live-in carer. The ideal candidate should be passionate and diligent, capable of assisting the client with daily routines, ensuring their safety, and creating a comfortable and joyful living environment.
Working hours: Friday, 18.00 to Monday, 07.00 am (12 hours a day with breaks)
Duties include:
- greet the client in her bedroom and inquire about her needs.
- coordinate with another carer who will also be present.
- plan and organize social activities for the client during the weekend, such as hairdresser appointments, golf club lunches, visits from friends, accompanied walks, and events
- seek advice from other carers in planning these activities.
- ensure the client is never left alone.
- utilize Ring cameras at night through a phone or tablet, generating a gentle alarm if the client rises.
- respond to infrequent nighttime awakenings, often due to the client thinking it's breakfast time.
- encourage the client to go back to sleep if she gets up, located just 20 meters away.
- prompt response to alarms is crucial.
- perform morning tasks like clearing breakfast, collecting laundry, and turning on living room lights.
- maintain a tidy home environment.
- coordinate lunch preparation with the other carer, usually served at 12:00.
- accompany the client during her nap until 14:00 after lunch.
- facilitate a light dinner at 17:00, with the client retiring for the night at 18:00.
They require someone who has a valid UK residence permit. The client is looking for someone who can start on the 10th of February.
