Job description
The Saltire Society is seeking a Director who can lead on all aspects of the management of the charity. The keypriority will be the development and implementation of a major fundraising campaign to ensure the long-termviability of the Saltire Society. A wide knowledge of Scottish arts and culture is expected.

Reporting to the Director and working closely with other colleagues, the role will focus on delivering Glasgow DoorsOpen Days Festival, including fundraising, developing an events programme, liaising with participants andpartner organisations, marketing, press and publicity for the event (in conjunction with GBPT’s Marketing andAudience Development Officer).

This role is full time. However, candidates wishing to propose delivering the role in a part time capacity might beconsidered.
The post will initially be offered on a probationary period of 6 months.
The starting salary will be £30,000 - £32,500 per annum, dependent on experience.
The post is largely office-based, at Glasgow Building Preservation Trust offices at the Wellpark Enterprise Centre,120 Sydney Street, Glasgow.
Occasional home working can be accommodated, and the role will involve visiting buildings, attending meetings outwith the office and evening and weekend working, particularly during the festival itself. Time off in lieu willbe granted for agreed working out of normal working hours.
Following successful completion of the probationary period, you will be eligible for enrolment into the company’spension scheme including an employer’s contribution of 6.0% of salary.
The National Centre for Music (the NCM) is at the core of the redevelopment of the former Royal High School building,located at Calton Hill, Edinburgh. This role is a unique opportunity to play a central role in establishing theNCM in supporting the Scottish music sector and providing a platform to secure its future, and thereby bringinglife to an exceptional historic site, at the heart of Edinburgh. The NCM will be a new cultural asset for bothEdinburgh and Scotland. We seek a visionary individual who will be able to advance the NCM concept. This will bebased on a consultative approach that establishes the requirements of the sector and general public, which inturn provides scope to the NCM’s priorities and operational practicalities. David Dale Gallery and Studios are seeking new Trustees to shape and guide the organisation’s future direction. Weare looking for people who are committed to using their expertise and professional networks in support of ourcharitable objectives and goals.
Board Members (who are Trustees of the non-profit limited company and charity) oversee the organisation’s finances,risk, policy, and strategy. They attend quarterly board meetings and contribute to specific areas of worksupporting the Programme Director on a voluntary basis. As a Board Member, you will play a crucial role insafeguarding the future sustainability of our organisation, fostering artistic excellence, and contributing tothe support of our artist-led community.
This year, the Board of David Dale Gallery & Studios are particularly looking for individuals with experience inFinance (comprehensive understanding of financial and management accounts) and Fundraising (understanding andknowledge of charity fundraising, and particularly someone with experience of Creative Scotland as a primaryfunder).
