Job description
Prioritises care and delegates workload and ward activities appropriately to HCAs and other staff; may be required to take charge of the ward on an ad hoc basis Effectively and professionally deals with emergency situations Participates in the supervision, mentorship and development of students and colleagues Adheres to local and National policies and guidelines Ensures safe practice with regard to moving and handling, SHARPS, infection control etc Responsible for self development and actively participates in UHSussex Strategy for Nursing, nursing metrics and band 5 development programme Contributes and actively participates in correct reporting and handling of incidents and accidents Has awareness of ward and team dynamics
