Permanent Senior Large Animal Veterinary Surgeon - Carlisle, Cumbria

- Are you a Farm Animal Vet looking to move into a Senior Farm Animal Role?
We are recruiting on behalf of a mixed animal practice in Carlisle for a Permanent Senior Large Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This role is full time for 40 hours per week over 4 or 5 days, along with 1 in 4 weekends. The weekends are on call from home from 7pm Friday, in practice Saturday 8.30am - 1pm and then on call the rest of the weekend with nurse support. There is 1 night per week on call. Flexible hours can be arranged to meet lifestyle responsibilities.
- Type: Senior Large Animal Vet
- Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week over 4 or 5 days
- On call: 1:4 weekends - 7pm on Friday through the rest of the weekend on call with nurse support.
- Computer system: Merlin
- Consultations: 15 minutes
- Team: 8 vets, 4 RVNs, 2 SVNs and 3 VCAs
The role
- Senior Farm Animal Vet role.
- Offers a 4 or 5 day working week. The Vet is on call on a 1:4 weekend basis from 7pm Friday, in practice Saturday from 8.30am - 1pm and then on call the rest of the weekend with the support of a Nurse. There is one night per week on call.

- You will be responsible for providing a high standard of veterinary care and customer service
- You will be responsible to ensuring that there is excellent communication between themselves and the team and with clients
About them:
- They are located on the outskirts of the Lake District offering a beautiful countryside environment
- They have two fully equipped sites
- They have a supportive team of 8 vets, 4 RVNs, 2 SVNs, 3 VCAs, Practice Manager, Farm Services Manager and non-clinical team
- They have two Vets currently working towards certificates and the practice encourage and support areas of special interest and post graduate qualifications
- They can offer a wide variety of cases and believe in case continuity and offer support to the team where required
- The practice provides a high standard of care and customer service to all its patients and clients

- You will always maintain a high standard of clinical care and always willing to go that extra mile for patients
Package
- Salary: Up to £63,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
- Holidays: 6.6 weeks annual leave, increasing with service and birthday off
