LHH Recruitment Solutions are currently working with a leading business in Sussex to recruit a Head of Financial Reporting on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Finance Director you will be responsible for financial control and reporting, oversight of the annual audit process, managing the business partnering team while having oversight of the enterprise risk management function.

The role has 4 direct reports and indirectly a team of 25+. This is a full on role and requires a technically strong Accountant who has exceptional people management skills.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Responsibility for all financial reporting and control including both management and statutory accounts, balance sheet, KPI's and regular forecasts.
• Oversight of the annual audit process and preparing any technical accounting papers.
• Leadership of 2 separate business partnering teams
• Member of the Senior Finance Leadership team
• Building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

Key skills / experience required:

• ACA Qualified with a Big 4 background
• Strong technical accounting skills (IFRS)
• Proven experience of leading teams and having the ability to develop and motivate large teams
• Excellent systems skills and ideally a background in dealing with big billing systems
• Strong communication skills with the ability to develop and nurture both internal and external relationships.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to take on an all encompassing role that enjoys the technical side of finance while leading and developing people. The company work on a hybrid basis with 2 days a week required in the office although travel to other offices will be required on a bimonthly basis.

The role is paying a six figure sum with excellent benefits but further details around salary and package can be discussed on application.
