Job description
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Children and Young People Support Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting young individuals, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate a good understanding of emotional, mental health, and behavioural issues
As a Children’s Support Worker, your main duties will be to: 1. Provide high-quality support to children and young people with emotional, mental health, and behavioural issues. 2. Implement care plans and risk assessments, ensuring the well-being of each individual. 3. Drive company vehicles (manual car) for transporting children and young people as required. 4. Maintain a good level of spoken and written English to effectively communicate with individuals, families, and team members. 5. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies related to children and young people's care. 6. Collaborate with colleagues and external agencies to provide holistic care. To be a Team Leader, we require you to have: 1. NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People or equivalent. 2. Minimum of 2 years' experience working with young people facing emotional, mental health, and behavioural challenges. 3. A valid manual driving license with a minimum of 2 years driving experience. 4. Thorough knowledge of children legislations and safeguarding procedures. 5. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with young people. 6. Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings.
