Head of Sales / Business Development

Hertfordshire

£60k base, £90k OTE, Plus Car and Benefits

The client is an expanding Business Services, Video Training and Consultancy provider. They work with interesting and varied Corporates, and other mid-sized organisations, providing support and advice across the UK, with a significant number of long term contracts. Reporting to the Commercial Director and the Board, the role will be based out of their offices in Hertfordshire, and will manage a UK wide sales team of 4 business developers, targeting new and existing customers throughout the UK.

Responsibilities include;

• Manage a sales team, this includes recruitment, training and mentoring
• Support the sales team with client visits and tenders, throughout the UK.
• Market Research and Intelligence, leading to new client identification.
• Develop sales opportunities, through client networking and prospecting
• Deliver sales proposals, including presentations and pitches.
• Complete sales closures, with clear performance indicators and contractual arrangements, and ensure sales contracts are profitable.
• Manage Client retention activities, ensuring on-going Account Management
• Prepare and analyse monthly Sales information, and produce reports which can be used for Board level strategic and operational decision making.
• Assist with the Sales forecasts and Annual Budgets preparation.
• Support the Business and clients as and when required, and be prepared to assist with ad hoc projects and analysis as required.
