Assistant Operations and Key Account Manager - Freight

Job description
My client are a global freight forwarder looking for an Assistant Operations and Key Account Manager to join their successful team! You must have previous experience in AIRFREIGHT EXPORTS.
Overseeing a team of 6 staff, daily duties will include:
- Coordinating tasks, schedules and resources to meet department objectives
- Maintaining and nurturing client relationships
- Hands on managing air export shipments from start – finish
- Managing administration of documents including invoices, packing documents and certificates
- Managing training, performance and attendance
- Monitoring costs and negotiating rates with suppliers
- Preparing monthly business activity report and revenue report
- Developing new customers
Experience needed:
- Solid experience of managing a team within the freight industry
- Computer literate
- Ideally experience using ASM Sequoia
- Excellent strategic, analytical and negotiation skills
Working hours:
- Monday – Friday 0900am – 1730pm
