Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO)
Location: Lincoln
Salary Scale: £90 to £140 per day
Start Date: Immediate Start Required
GSL Education, a renowned staffing agency with two decades of excellence in the education recruitment sector, is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO)for one of our esteemed client SEN schools in Lincoln .
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Proven experience as a SENCO or in a SEN leadership role.
- Hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Relevant qualifications in Special Education or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of SEN policies and current educational practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external agencies.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusive education.
Responsibilities may include:
- Create and execute plans to aid students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), in cooperation with teaching personnel.
- Coordinate with external experts and agencies to ensure the comprehensive advancement of SEN students.
- Stay informed about current SEN regulations and protocols to maintain updated knowledge.
- Supervise the evaluation and recognition of students with SEN, guaranteeing precise documentation and efficient correspondence with guardians and external entities.
- Collaborate closely with the school's leadership group to advocate for an inclusive and nurturing learning milieu.
- Offer advice and instruction to teaching staff regarding optimal methods for supporting SEN students.
