Job description
To develop and lead the Bladder & Bowel service training program for the specialist team. To develop and roll out appropriate training for the county wide community adult teams and Inpatient units working with the Learning and Development team and Service Lead To hold a clinical caseload of highly complex patients and to oversee the caseload of the clinical team. To be responsible for the clinical triage with the Band 6 nursing staff to ensure that all KPIs are met. To develop effective working relationships with inpatient units, the neurological service and community adult teams to improve care for their patients with bladder and/or bowel issues. To develop effective working relationships with both acute trust teams, attending MDTs and leading on its further development with the Clinical Lead. To support the Service Lead & Clinical Lead when requested regarding clinical complaints. To work with the Service Lead & Clinical Lead responding to the reporting of untoward clinical incidents/accidents by the team, identifying any learning and embedding this learning into clinical practice. To represent the service at appropriate clinical and clinical pathway meetings ensuring the needs of the service are highlighted and feedback as appropriate. To be responsible for clinical leadership, advice, direction and expertise to the clinical staff within the team and other teams such as community, inpatients, neurological and other agencies as required.
