Job description
An exciting opportunity has opened to join the well established and successful department at Christ's College Finchley. Boasting five specialist classrooms, computer suite and latest equipment such as laser cutter and 3D printer. Design and Technology is a thriving subject, being popular at KS3 and GCSE, producing excellent results across the board. Competing and having won in various competitions such as the Maker Challenge, The Mayor’s Redesign Croydon Challenge and the Rotary Technology Tournament.
Our well resourced department offers the full range of design and technology principles varying from textiles to robotics, supported by an experienced technician and four passionate and enthusiastic teachers.
The Design and Technology teacher will have the freedom to put their touch on the schemes of work teaching product design whilst promoting student attainment, achievement and teaching and learning within the department. The post-holder will bring their passion for the subject into the classroom, inspiring and capturing the imagination of our students giving them the creative freedom to express themselves and maximise progress in Design and Technology.
