Job description
Service Care Solutions has an exiting opportunity to work as a Street Scene & Waste Operative for a local authority in Plymouth.
Duties :
- Maintenance on multiple sports pitches including Bowls, Football, Rugby, Baseball and others.
- Collecting various types of waste and recycling from commercial and residential properties throughout the city.
- Cleanse public land, highways, and main roads as directed by line manager.
- Carry out grounds maintenance as directed including using mechanical hand tools such as pedestrian mower, strimmers and hedge cutters.
Requirements :
- Experience of labouring work or heavy manual work.
- Experience in delivering high standards of customer care.
- Experience of working in a waste based environment.
- Full driving licence and be confident in driving a 3.5tonne van as well as towing a trailer.
- Knowledge and experience with turf maintenance, use of cylinder mowers, ride on mowers and sports pitch line marking would be an advantage but full training will be given.
Working hours:
Tuesday to Friday 6:30am-4:15pm
