Job description
As the Production Manager you will be part of the senior management team and be instrumental in ensuring the continuous improvement of this site. You will be leading a team in working towards achieving operational excellence, embedding a best practice culture. You will not only manage daily manufacturing operations and ensure production targets are met but also support in driving the business' vision.
- Co-ordinate production activities with scheduling, maintenance and quality control activities to obtain optimal production levels.
- Implement strategies to increase productivity and meet supply chain demands.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the manufacturing plant.
- Implement and maintain world class lean processes to drive continuous improvement through waste reduction, production efficiency and operational improvement.
- Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
- Develop and maintain a positive working environment for the team.
- Oversee the training and development of the production team.
- Manage budget and production resources to achieve operational efficiency.
