Job description

We have a modern and purpose designed setting in Twickenham who is looking for an experienced Nursery Room Leader.

Set close to the heart of town, this nursery is well served by local public transport and is only a short walk from the railway station and local bus routes. They place the children at the heart of everything they do and follow a philosophy a child-centred and love of the outdoors. The children enjoy regular trips into the local community and parks and they also have access to a secure outdoor space at the rear of the Nursery. They recently received an award for their menu which demonstrates their commitment to providing a healthy balanced diet to their children, with all meals cooked fresh on-site, every day.

As the Nursery Room Leader, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality care and education for the children, creating a stimulating and safe environment that promotes their overall development. Your leadership skills will shine as you lead a team of talented and caring educators, fostering a positive and collaborative atmosphere within the nursery, and inspiring an environment in which children can thrive.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a dedicated team, ensuring a cohesive and supportive work environment
• Develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate curriculum activities that promote children's learning and development
• Maintain a warm and welcoming atmosphere within the nursery, building strong relationships with children, parents, and staff
• Conduct regular assessments and observations, providing feedback to support continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain a high standard of health and safety

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Minimum Level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent
• Proven experience in a childcare setting, with leadership responsibilities
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
