Job Description

Finance Analyst - Portsmouth

This role plays a crucial part in advancing the organization's business-winning strategy, offering essential analysis on pricing to inform winning strategies and deals for the business. It collaborates closely with business development, capture management, and engineering/solution teams throughout the initial stages of the business-winning lifecycle to formulate a competitive Price-to-Win (PTW) position for pivotal campaigns and opportunities.

* Conducts an assessment of market trends, pricing strategies of competitors, key pricing elements, and hypothetical solutions to estimate competitors' likely prices for principal opportunities, aiming to determine our solution's target price.

* Carries out a "Price to Win" analysis of competitors for similar products and services, focusing on their pricing structures, models, strategies, and methodologies.

* Utilizes various analytical techniques including bottom-up pricing forecasts, top-down analysis, and parametric cost estimation.

* Demonstrates advanced analytical and modeling skills, including scenario analysis, and identifies key insights, suggesting relevant ideas, actions, or solutions.

* Capable of defining a Market & Competitive Analysis (MCA) and "Price to Win" strategy, and effectively leading others in its implementation.

* Understands the distinction between "Price to Win" and "Position to Win," recognizing other decision-influencing factors and scoring criteria, and adept at modifying strategies accordingly.

* Analyzes and interprets information, sharing the derived intelligence within the local or broader business context as appropriate.

* Designs and implements a "Price to Win" framework for the business or sector, offering the chance to establish the processes, tools, and methodologies for this capability.
