P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently seeking a Geophysicist to join their team based in Norwich on a full time, permanent basis.
Role Summary:
Production of the data deliverables during the project operations. Monitoring and promptly report any data quality issue with the processing results. The Geophysicist is also responsible for interpreting the processed data (SSS/SBP/MAG). Produce final deliverables in line with the company quality standards and in line with project requirements.

Main Responsibilities:
• The Geophysicist is responsible to collect, process, interpret, and analyse geophysical data (SSS/SBP/MAG) acquired to produce accurate and informative maps and models of the sub-seafloor geology.
• Responsibility for data processing (SSS/SBP/MAG) and for the production of the preliminary/final reporting products.
• The Geophysicist is responsible for the production of the reports required during or at the end of the operations.
• The Geophysicist is responsible to support the RepCo\ P&R Sup. for the production of the reports required.
• The Geophysicist will report as function to the P&R Mngr.
• The Geophysicist will liaise with the P&R Sup/RepCo for project related matters.

Qualifications and Experience:
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in geophysics, geology, or a related field is typically required, experience in the role within the offshore survey industry may be considered.
• Experience with Sonarwiz/CODA/Oasis Montaj processing suite; similar software maybe considered.
• Ability to QA/QC SSS/SBP/MAG data.
• Proficiency with GIS software, such as ArcGIS or QGIS is required.
• Offshore experience preferred.
• Must be able to travel freely.

• Good communication skills are essential in working with other members of a survey team, interpreting client requirements, and presenting results to clients.
• Well organised working routine and time management.
• Proactivity to increase the efficiency of the daily work.
• Attention to detail.
• Quality driven.
• A familiarity with the geological/geophysical equipment (Desired)
• Good written and oral English.
