Days and Hours : Monday to Friday 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM.

Salary : £26,000 per year

About the role:

Oxwash is a tech-driven and venture-backed sustainable laundry and wet cleaning company on a mission to eliminate harm to the planet, our health, and wardrobe. With clients in and around Oxford, London, Cambridge and Swindon, we're looking for a Night Shift Supervisor to join our Battersea team and help us grow sustainably. As our Night Shift Supervisor, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our customers continue to receive high-quality service and that our sustainable laundry operations run smoothly.

Key responsibilities:

Safety :

• Responsible for your own safety and that of the people around you.
• Responsible for ensuring the use of PPE where appropriate.
• Responsible for the reporting of all accidents, incidents and near misses to the Operations Manager.

Leadership and team development:

• Support the Operations Manager with the training of new hires', existing colleagues' and continuous upskilling of the team.
• Responsible for leading the more complex tasks in the lagoon as assigned by the Operations Manager.
• Be a person to provide general support to junior staff such as support on technical questions to do with processing.

Inventory:

• Responsible for reporting any low stock of consumables.
• Responsible for reporting any missing items.
• Responsible for reporting any maintenance issues to the Operations Manager.

Operations:

• Responsible for taking a senior role within the laundry processing team.
• Responsible for escalating issues to the Operations Manager.
• Responsible for personally contributing towards the overall goals of the company.

Quality and customer experience:

• Responsible for ensuring all items processed by yourself and the Laundry Assistants meet the stringent quality requirements.
• Supporting with customer queries from Customer Services.
• You must take personal ownership of all tasks you complete and ensure they are carried out to the defined standards.

Key Relationships:

• Operations Manager: You will report to our Operations Manager, who is responsible for the lagoon’s operations. They will support your execution, sponsor key projects and foster your development. They are accountable for all delivery in your wheelhouse.
• Customer Success: You will work alongside the Customer Success team and Account Manager to manage customer complaints and escalations from an operations perspective, reduce churn and revenue loss.

Requirements

Key Qualities & Competencies

Technical Competency:

• Lean operation/manufacturing knowledge - foster the lean methodology and drive improvements within your colleagues on shift.
• Working H&S knowledge.
• Strong understanding of laundry and textile care best practices and experience with all processes within the lagoon.

Technology, automation & IT literacy:

• Operational technologies: Have a base knowledge of computer systems in order to learn how to operate the internal systems used at Oxwash.
• Data literacy: Ability to understand data to aid in finding the route cause of issues and have a good understanding of numbers in order to count items on ingress and invoice items accurately.
• Ambidexterity: You will be able to demonstrate the balance between existing skills whilst simultaneously exploring new opportunities to improve your operation, fostering full buy-in from the team.

Leadership & collaboration:

• You will use influencing and collaboration skills to build and cultivate effective professional working relationships with your team, other shifts and senior managers. Your communication skills - verbal and written - will also be of high standard.
• You will have experience in leadership to be able to support your team.
