Clinical Audit and Effectiveness Coordinator
Full time 37.5 hours

Band 5
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and efficient Clinical Audit and Effectiveness Co-ordinator to join the Clinical Audit and Effectiveness Team at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
The Clinical Audit and Effectiveness Team supports the development, implementation and monitoring of programmes of local and national clinical audit, clinical effectiveness, and quality improvement throughout the Trust to benefit patient care, safety, and experience.
The post holder will be responsible for the proactive dissemination, monitoring and reporting of the implementation of NICE guidelines throughout the Trust. The post holder will also provide project support for essential key clinical audits required to fulfil national and local commissioning requirements and support service lines to organise, prioritise, and manage individual clinical audit projects from inception through to the implementation of action plans.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/OUTCOMES:
Clinical Effectiveness
1. Oversee the dissemination, within the Trust, of new guidance published by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).
2. Monitor the implementation of NICE guidance in the Trust, liaising with clinicians to ensure that any compliance issues are highlighted and, where necessary, action plans are drawn up to ensure compliance.
3. Update and regularly monitor the Trust’s NICE database.
4. Produce reports on the implementation and audit of NICE guidelines for Quarterly Service Line reports, the Clinical Effectiveness Committee, the Quality and Safety Committee and others as required.
5. Attend as required the Clinical Effectiveness Committee to present the quarterly NICE report.
Clinical Audit
6. Provide project support to mandatory clinical audit projects, liaising with the Head of Clinical Audit and Effectiveness, Deputy Head of Clinical Audit and Effectiveness, Clinical Audit and Improvement Facilitators or Lead Clinician, as required.
