We have an exciting opportunity for an
experienced Snr Sales Representative based in the UK, to join our team within SST (Sensing
and Safety Technologies) division of SPS, Selling Honeywell Gas Detection
Products & Services.
What will
you be doing every day?
- Responsible for managing a named list of at least 10 major customers and partners in the region.
- Building senior exec relationships with key stake holders, including senior leadership
- Work
on new accounts, identified by Honeywell as being Key Accounts, and
develop them.
- Focal
point for relationship strategies, account and sales plans, proposal
strategies, deal negotiations and close, etc
- Identify
new sales opportunities and focus on providing consultative support by
building value propositions for solutions into the account
- Develop
and sustain long-term customer relations
- Own
day to day and strategic tasks: maintaining a balanced approach to
outstanding customer service and strategic account planning; quarterly
results and long-term account goals
- Development of account plans, aligned to strategic objectives
- Provide accurate and timely forecasts.
- Carry out product demonstrations at customer locations
- Inspect installed equipment at customer location
- Keep the CRM system up to date with all sales related activity including (but not limited to) meeting schedules, meeting notes, contact persons, business plans, as appropriate, quotations, price requests, revenue forecast data, schedule dates and sales team members
- Take responsibility for the data integrity in the system.
- Be able to report weekly performance to the leadership of specific opportunities.Furthermore, sales data, progress on incentives, new product releases, sales trending and all other key performance indicators should be monitored and managed on a pro-active and continual basis.At all times, understand the ‘health’ of the business being managed.
Education Required (academic and/or technical education)
- Good level of Maths
- Good level of English
- Degree level qualification in Science or Engineering preferred
Work Experience expected
- Experience of technical sales
- Experience of working from home in a technical sales role
- Previous experience of working with products relating to safety
- Awareness of the gas detection industry
- Experience of presenting to senior technical customers
- Experience of high value negotiation
Technical Skills
& Specific Knowledge Required
- Good understanding of Microsoft office and CRM systems
- Understanding of health and safety legislation concerning hazardous areas & gases
- Behavioural Competencies Required
- Must have good time management skills
- Must have strong business acumen
- Must be a contributor and recognise the value of team work
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
