Asset Manager

Up to £45k

Hybrid, Leeds or Doncaster - 3 days/week

Fruition IT are looking for an Asset Manager join a FTSE 250 manufacturing business as they go through a period of change and transformation.

This role will see you take ownership of the whole asset and licensing provision. They are looking for someone to come in and own the processes as they start building the asset and licensing provision from scratch.

Responsibilities:

Software Asset Management (SAM):

    • License Compliance: Ensure that the organization complies with software licensing agreements and stays within legal and contractual limits.
    • Inventory Management: Maintain an accurate inventory of software assets, including details on licenses, installations, and usage.

Hardware Asset Management:

    • Inventory Control: Maintain a comprehensive inventory of hardware assets, including Servers, computers, networking equipment, and peripherals.
    • Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire life cycle of hardware assets, from procurement and deployment to retirement and disposal.

Vendor Management:

    • Negotiation: Engage with vendors to negotiate favourable licensing terms and agreements.
    • Relationship Management: Foster positive relationships with software and hardware vendors to stay informed about updates, changes, and opportunities for cost savings.

Compliance and Audits:

    • Audit Preparation: Prepare for and facilitate software license audits, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance.
    • Policy Enforcement: Implement and enforce IT asset management policies and procedures to maintain compliance with licensing agreements.

Cost Management:

    • Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities for cost savings in software and hardware procurement.
    • Budgeting: Work with IT and finance teams to create and manage budgets related to software and hardware assets.
