Learning Support Assistant

Learning Support Assistant – Haywards Heath – ASAP

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all students have the opportunity to thrive academically and personally. You will work closely with both teachers and students, providing individualized support to students with diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities of a Learning Support Assistant:

* Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs (SEN).
* Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students.
* Collaborate with teachers to adapt and modify classroom materials and activities to meet the needs of students with diverse abilities.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
* Help students build their self-esteem and confidence.
* Assist with behaviour management and intervention strategies.
* Monitor and record student progress, communicating effectively with teachers and parents.
* Support students during assessments and examinations.
* Promote independence and encourage students to develop essential life skills.

Requirements for a Learning Support Assistant:

* Willingness to learn and adapt to various teaching and learning strategies.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
* Provide details for us to complete reference checks prior to employment
* You will require to pass a DBS check with no reprimands (we can assist you with this)
* You will have GCSE grades of A*-C in Maths and English ( or equivalent )
