We offer 4 different tours, each one creating a unique and unforgettable experience for our visitors.
Our Guides are responsible for providing an entertaining and informative tour of Edinburgh on an open top bus; although no written script is provided, guidelines will be provided for the content of the tours. Guides must have the ability to interpret the cultural heritage of the city as well as having a passion for showing off Scotland’s Capital to the world.
So, if you know when the 1 o’clock gun goes off? Or what’s the best way to catch a haggis? Then you’ll be able to answer some of the questions that our Tour Guides get asked.
This is a seasonal position however there is the opportunity to return the following season.Tour Guide Requirements
No experience required! Our Tour Guides come from a wide variety of backgrounds however good cultural knowledge of Edinburgh and its history is desirable
To be customer focused to understand, anticipate and deliver on the customers’ needs and expectations
Excellent verbal communication skills
Actively listens and uses a varied tone of voice to capture audience attention
Displays high standards of personal appearance, tidiness and time keeping
Actively supports and contributes to the EBT team

Your shift pattern will be working up to 4 days over 7 and will include weekends, with overtime shifts available
To help you look the part, a full uniform will be provided
