Aspire are actively seeking Fully Qualified SEND Teachers with in the Halesowen area.
We supply several SEND schools in the Halesowen area. We require full-time full QTS qualified SEND teachers who are passionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated to supporting children and young adults with challenging behaviour, special needs, mental health or need additional emotional support. These schools deal with children with moderate and severe needs. There may also be speech, language, and communication difficulties.
Applicants must be willing to work with children and young adults who may have MLD/SLD/ASD (Moderate Learning Difficulties/ Severe Learning Difficulties/ Autistic Spectrum) as well as mental health and emotional needs. They must also have relevant and previous experience working with challenging behaviour-supporting children or adults. They must also have teaching experience and but ECT's will be considered.
This role is a full-time (5 full days) role long term (ongoing) in a school lworking 8.30 am till 3.30 pm. This could lead to a permanent role.
To be considered for this position of a SEND Teacher you must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be a newly qualified teacher (NQT)/early career teacher (ECT) and have a desire to become part of a committed member of the team. The Candidate will have great subject knowledge and a passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons alongside upholding great classroom management skills.
Must have:
* Experience with Challenging children and young adults (SEND, SEMH, CB or EBD)
* Can travel to locations within Halesowen area.
* Want a full-time work position.
* A calm, caring, considerate, compassionate manner and be very patient.
* An understanding of challenging behaviour and safeguarding
* Child and adult DBS check on update service or willing to complete a new one.
* Excellent knowledge of relevant policies/codes of practice and awareness of current legislation
* Team Teach is desirable but not a must.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
Typical duties of a supply SEN Teacher:
* Willing to teach various classes and subjects.
* Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment while maintaining discipline.
* Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges.
* Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils' development.
* Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area.
* Staying up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum.
* Communicate effectively and appropriately with staff, pupils and parents and effectively manage the learning and teaching of individual pupils, groups and classes.
