This is an exciting and unique opportunity to come and work at our unique school and care home within the Senior Leadership team. You will work within the pastoral team as the Safeguarding and Welfare Officer to make a difference to our young people who are at the heart of everything that we do. You will be the Designated Safeguarding lead working alongside a highly effective safeguarding team across the Care and Education provision

The role is suited to an experienced pastoral leader who has considerable experience in working with young people with SEND. This can be within an education, care or social work setting. You need a relevant education or social care qualification equivalent to a minimum Level 5 diploma to be eligible for this role.

The job role:

Bladon House School is an Independent Special School, with an onsite Children’s Home. We cater for up to 60 young people from 5-19 with Special Educational Needs including autism, attachment, PWS, moderate learning difficulties, severe learning difficulties, communication needs, therapeutic needs (including speech and language and sensory processing needs) and associated challenging behaviour.
