At Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve, our Garden Room Restaurant is the former stable yard of the original Sassoon estate and retains its old-world charm and welcoming atmosphere, offering an inviting space for couples and families to dine.
As our Restaurant Manager you will lead by example, creating a relaxed but professional dining experience from Breakfast to Dinner. You will build, train, and develop a skilled team who strive for a seamless dining experience and exceed our customer expectations.

Who are we looking for:
A talented restaurant manager who has considerable experience of training teams and a passion to make the Garden Room Restaurant a go to destination in the local area, and a premium dining experience to those guests staying in house. You will have the skills to operate the restaurant to an exceptionally high standard and ensure that the standards are continuously enhanced.

Contract details:
This position is working 45 hours a week, 5 days out of 7, including holidays, evenings, and weekends as per the rota. Service Charge is in addition to salary. This role is based at Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve near Folkestone and reports directly into the Food & Beverage Operations Manager. All applicants must have the right to work in the UK. A reliable mode of transport is recommended due to our remote location.

The location:
Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve is a world-renowned wild animal park set within 600 acres of Kentish savannah. The Reserve is home to some of the world’s most rare and endangered animals and offers luxury short breaks accommodation, free roaming animal safaris, once-in-a-lifetime animal encounters and exquisite dining experiences. Most importantly, every one of our employees is part of real conservation in action and their efforts have contributed to animals such as black rhino and western lowland gorillas being returned to their natural habitats in collaboration with our partners at The Aspinall Foundation.

Why you should join us:
We’re on a mission to create memorable experiences that matter, and our Core Values ‘One Team’, Customer’ and ‘Pride’ are what drive us each day to become part of something extraordinary.
