We are representing an independent, award-winning multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy in their search for a talented Senior Civil Engineer to join their vibrant team. Working closely with Partners or Associates, your responsibilities will include: - Taking ownership of project production from inception to completion, including project management, financial management, report writing, and more. - Preparation of Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies tailored to client requirements. - Providing leadership and management to project resources. - Collaborating with co-professionals and clients through meetings and conference calls, contributing to information production and execution programs. - Delegating workload, monitoring delivery, and mentoring team members. **Key Skills Required:** - Minimum of 5 years' experience compiling submissions to UK Building Control. - Creativity and innovation in designing civil engineering solutions for highways and drainage. - Significant knowledge and experience of relevant regulations and guidance, including Manual for Streets, Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, Sewers for Adoption, SuDS manual, and NPPF. - Proficiency in PDS, Microdrainage, and AutoCAD (Civils 3D preferable). - Familiarity with CDM Regulations and ability to plan and manage personal and team effectiveness. - Strong presentation skills for internal and client-facing presentations. - Commercial awareness and understanding of professional risks and necessary actions to mitigate them.Job tags
