Job description

This is a hybrid role with 2 – 3 days home / office based per week. This national mental health charity has won awards for being a great employer (investors in people). They have been awarded a brand-new contract to support people in Bedfordshire with a mental health support need into employment.

 
You will be supporting people on a one-to-one basis who have had a mental health condition and are now ready to return to work (the individuals are not mandated). Some might be employed but looking for a new career. You will meet them on a regular basis to help them move towards their employment goals. A typical session could include action planning, goal setting, CV writing, job searching or interview preparation.

 
You will be one day based in Bedford, and one day in Leighton Buzzard. Then typically 3 days at home (but there might be the odd outreach day where you might meet new participants for the programme at a local job centre for example).

 
The charity is seeking people who have had direct experience working with people with mental health support needs in some capacity in either a paid or voluntary capacity. Or those that have worked in recruitment, careers advice or employability before. So, you might have previously worked as a mental health support worker, drug & alcohol worker, resettlement worker, key worker, residential support worker, employment advisor, recruitment consultant.
