Job description
Spencer Ogden is proud to exclusively partner with Europe's leading renewable energy developer in wind and solar to support the recruitment of a Senior Project Manager to their growing development team in the UK.
Your role would be to identify and acquire new sites and opportunities suitable for the development of renewable energy projects, ensuring regulatory compliance and managing stakeholder relationships, predominantly across sites in England.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of renewable energy projects from initial and feasibility phase through to development and pre-construction
- Negotiate land agreements and leases with stakeholders
- Conduct due diligence, budget and risk assessments and planning applications on prospective sites
- Ensure compliance with regulations and permits
- Establish contacts with planning authorities and other parties and be the company represent for public consultation events
- Manage relationships with landowners and stakeholders
- Oversee ongoing land management and lease administration
Qualifications:
- Degree in environmental or land or relevant qualification
- Experience in land acquisition, negotiations, planning application
- Experience in renewable energy (wind, solar, BESS)
- Knowledge of UK land use regulations, land lease agreements, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) processes, consent processes for renewable energy projects
- Strong communication, negotiation and project management skills
- Analytical mindset with the ability to work independently and manage a team
- Full UK driving license
