Principal

CATS College Cambridge

Location

Cambridgeshire | United Kingdom

Job description

CATS Cambridge is inviting applications for the role of Principal with an ideal start date of September 2024

CATS Cambridge offers an outstanding international pre-university educational experience to students aged 14+ from all over the world. The school’s values are Wisdom, Innovation and Responsibility.

Our students live and work at the custom-built Cambridge campus, located on the Northeast edge of the city centre. They study for GCSEs, A levels and on the CATS University Foundation Programme, preparing for admission to universities across the country and World. We pride ourselves on our approach to teaching and learning, with small class sizes and an informal atmosphere ensuring that students are treated as individuals and build great relationships with staff. CATS Cambridge is a diverse, colourful, energising and often genuinely fun setting. You will need to meet the challenges posed by a student body that is drawn from over 40 nationalities, but with those challenges comes the opportunity for immense job satisfaction.

CATS Cambridge is a member of the Independent Schools’ Association (ISA) and inspected by the Independent Schools’ Inspectorate (ISI).

The CATS Global Schools board of governors are looking to appoint an experienced and dynamic leader who with the support of the wider group can generate a strategic vision that will drive the next stage of development and success of the school. The school is currently being re-positioned academically within the CGS Group portfolio of schools, a journey which the new Principal will lead the school to complete.

We are seeking candidates who already have experience of headship, either in the UK, or abroad. Post-graduate education-related qualifications, and a desire to share your views on education are desirable. You will be able to evidence substantial contributions to the effective leadership and development of a school. Although you will have ultimate responsibility for all areas of the school’s pastoral, boarding and academic activities, maintaining and developing further the high standards of teaching and learning will be a key focus. You will also have an understanding of the business perspective of the school’s operation as an internationally facing boarding school.

Your salary will reflect the seniority of the role and your experience.
