Freelance Estimator
Location : Manchester
Engagement : Contract
Rate: £350 - £450 per day
Duration: 6+ Months (potential to go permanent)
Payment: Ltd Company
Homeworking: 1-2 days a week depending upon experience
My client is a succesful contractor who holds an excellent reputation in the industry
Sectors they specialise in include student accommodation and luxury residential properties.
Due to the continuing growth of the Business, they are now looking to take on an experienced Freelance Estimator for a project due to start in the Northwest.
The successful Freelance Estimator will assist them in their core market.
Key Responsibilities for this Freelance Estimator Role:
Calculating how much construction projects will cost, considering labour, material, and equipment requirements.
Negotiating with suppliers and gain quotes from subcontractors and use this information to compile detailed cost proposals for a client.
Researching prices and collecting quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
Monitoring inflation/exchange rates and drawing up bids for work.
Keeping an eye on projects to make sure costs stay in line with forecasts.
Considering risk assessments and health and safety requirement
Drawing up detailed and accurate price lists for everything needed on a construction project.
Key Experience for this Freelance Estimator Role:
Minimum 2 years' experience as a Estimator
Ideally have experience within the residential sector
Degree qualified.
