Robertson Bell are working with this leading housing provider whilst they recruit to a permanent Service Charge Analyst. Reporting into the Service Charge Manager you will be responsible for and leading on all service charge accounting for this vibrant organisation. The recent merger of two fantastic Housing Associations has created a new direction and purpose for the organisation and a new structure has been created, producing new roles to help continue growth and deal with business needs.

Duties for the Service Charge Analyst role will include:

• Supervision and mentoring duties of the Service Charge Officers providing direction, offering necessary support and checking work I completed correctly and on time.
• Determine each team members responsibilities during the accounting life cycle and ensure processes and procedures are well documented.
• Hold regular meetings with stakeholders, challenging their spend and assisting with future budget setting.
• Oversee the timely production of service charge statements at year-end.
• Ensure service charges offer value for money and are affordable for tenants.
• Review systems and ensure they are fit for purpose and enable an efficient working environment.
• Liaise with residents and help explain any changes or increases. Making sure residents are kept up to date and understand the current state of affairs. Ensuring all queries and questions are dealt with and responded to straight away.

This permanent Service Charge Analyst role can be suited to someone from the Private sector or someone from another Housing Association as long as you have a solid understanding of service charge accounting. This opportunity is based in Croydon and is offered on a hybrid working pattern. The creation of a new and expanded Rent & Service Charge team which is currently being spearheaded by a fantastic Head of Rent & Service Charges is requiring office attendance four times a week to ensure collaboration between colleagues is high, helping knit together the team, create a fantastic culture and the ability to bounce ideas, ask questions and help coach and nurture each other to successfully create a market leading Service Charge team in the Housing sector.

The successful Service Charge Analyst candidate will be:

• Highly experienced in service charge accounting.
• Confident driving change and improving processes.
• Be an experienced colleague in terms of coaching and nurturing those around you.
• A confident user of Excel.
