Youth Mental Health Support Worker - Start Date - ASAP!

Camden, London - NW8

£85 - £110 PER DAY (PAYE)

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a Teaching Assistant to work on a full time basis at one of our local Pupil Referral Units (PRU) in Camen, London

This role is at an alternative provision school which provides education for pupils in KS3 and KS4, with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) who have been excluded from a mainstream education due to the school being unable to meet their needs. Working in a PRU is a highly rewarding role as it will give you the opportunity to shape the future of students who have struggled in a mainstream school. You will be working with the most vulnerable students, who may have challenging behaviour, who struggle academically and socially so you must be able to stay calm in tough situations and adapt to each child's individual needs.

The ideal candidate for this role must -

- Have a nurturing, motivated personality

- Be confident working with students with challenging behaviour

- Have previous experience with children/a dults with vulnerable needs

This is a temporary long term role however, it is likely to lead into permanent employment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
