Job description
What you will do in your working day
As a Showroom Design and Administration Apprentice at Bowman's Kitchens & Bathrooms, you will take on a range of responsibilities that include:
Stock Management
- Order and maintain stocks of relevant stationery and forms in collaboration with the Operations Manager and Senior Sales Designer.
Administrative Support
- Provide support to individual managers as needed, including diary management, travel planning, event coordination, and servicing meetings.
- Provide support with ordering kitchen and bathroom products from design specifications.
- Provide support with taking payments from customers and generating invoices from quotes.
- Provide support to business administrative tasks including accurate administration of supplier invoices.
- Undertake administrative tasks, such as photocopying, fax transmissions, processing mail, maintaining filing systems, archives and resource libraries and updating information.
- Answering the telephone and liaising with staff, clients and suppliers to assist in the delivery of services.
- Use of Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel.
Presentation Development
- Learn how to develop compelling presentations to communicate ideas effectively.
- Learn how to present designs to customers.
Issue Resolution
- Develop skills to answer and resolve issues for staff, customers, and suppliers, ensuring satisfaction and timely resolution.
Professional Development
- Manage your own professional development journey with guidance from senior staff, prioritising workload to include training time required to achieve the relevant apprenticeship qualification.
- Learn Bowmans Design process and work with the Senior Sales Designer all aspects of Kitchen and bathroom design.
- Learn business processes from the operations manager and senior management.
- Learn to use 3D modelling software used across the industry (eg virtual worlds).
- Learn to project management software used across the industry (eg Asana).

- A genuine interest in interior design and an eagerness to learn about the design process.
- Curiosity about business processes and a desire to understand how they operate.
- A strong desire to be customer-facing, providing exceptional service to our valued clients.
- A true all-rounder with a flexible attitude and a willingness to tackle various tasks.
- 5 GCSEs at level 9-4 or equivalent qualifications, demonstrating a solid educational foundation.
The training you will be getting
- The apprentice will be working towards the Business Administrator Level 3 apprenticeship standard including Level 3 Diploma for the Business Administrator (Administration for Marketing and Sales).
- Delivered virtually with no formal college attendance.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
- Showroom Design Administrator/ Business Administrator / Finance Assistant / Personal Assistant to company directors depending on where they excel.
