Job Role Overview:

Reporting to the Finance Director (FD), the Management Accountant will be responsible for managing key financial activities within the company. This includes financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and supporting financial negotiations. The role will require close collaboration with various stakeholders and involvement in business development initiatives. Because of the small size of the business, the role will require considerable flexibility and a hands-on approach, and will also include an on-going range of special projects related to business development and optimisation.

What will the role of Management Accountant involve?

• Maintenance of financial systems and day-to-day finance operations.
• Preparation of group consolidated monthly management accounts and associated analysis reporting.
• Management of year-end accounts preparation and audit evidence.
• Handling of quarterly VAT returns and statutory reporting compliance.
• Oversight of creditor and debtor processing and controls.
• Assisting with annual budgets
• Assisting with budget and forecast process.
• Assist with working capital and cash-flow monitoring.
• Margin management and pricing policies

Suitable candidate for the Finance Manager vacancy:

• CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified. (Ideally)
• Manufacturing or Distribution industry experience. (ideally)
• SAGE 50 (Ideally)
• Strong management accounting, budgeting and forecasting experience.

Additional information and benefits for the role of the Financial Controller:

• 24 paid holidays per annum excluding bank holidays.
• Enrolment in the company pension scheme (based upon qualifying earnings) with a company contribution of 3% and employee contribution of 5%. We also offer a salary sacrifice scheme which enhances the contributions made into the pension scheme.
• Discretionary annual profit related bonus opportunity of up to 20% of gross salary.
• Death in Service (DIS) insurance of 2 times gross salary as a lump sum payment to the beneficiaries.
• Group Income Protection (GIP) insurance for up to 36 months of 75% of gross salary, to commence after 13 weeks, due to absence caused by a long term illness.
• Additional free health related services which come with the GIP scheme.
