THE COMPANY

Join a thriving local distribution business based in Cannock, as they seek a dedicated Purchase Ledger Clerk on a temporary to permanent basis. Embrace the flexibility of working from the comfort of your own home while contributing to the success of this dynamic organisation.

THE ROLE

As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will be an integral part of a collaborative team consisting of five skilled professionals. Your primary responsibility will be efficiently processing a high volume of purchase invoices and transactions. With utmost accuracy, you will input data on a daily basis and reconcile supplier statements. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in matching invoices against delivery notes and serving as a point of contact for supplier inquiries. Proactively pursuing unauthorised invoices from branches will be among your key tasks. During busy periods, you may be involved in ad-hoc duties such as payment runs, general administration, and phone handling.

REQUIREMENTS

To excel in this role, ideally, you will possess a minimum of two years’ experience in purchase ledger management. A strong command of Excel and general IT literacy are essential. Effective communication skills at all levels will enable you to thrive in this position. Strong keyboard skills with a focus on accuracy are crucial, especially during busy periods. As the majority of the role is remote, self-motivation and a strong work ethic are vital attributes. Occasional visits to the office for post collection or meetings may be required.
