Job title: Lead MRI Radiographer Salary: Competitive + company car or car allowance Hours: Monday-Sunday 36 hours a week Location: South West MRI (Mobile) Introduction: InHealth sees more than 4 million patients each year and diagnostic imaging is one of the busiest services that we provide. Our fleet of mobile solutions offers advanced diagnostic capabilities in the community within easy reach of patients. We are looking for a Mobile Lead MRI Radiographer to join our mobiles division in our South West Mobiles Team. As this is a mobile role covering a number of locations the successful applicant will be eligible for a company car or car allowance. We will take your home location in to account and try to base you primarily from the sites most local to you, but there may be occasions when you need to travel further afield - any travel or hotel costs will be paid for by InHealth. What will you be responsible for? As a Lead Radiographer with InHealth you will be responsible for providing first point of call management and clinical leadership across the South West sites, operating in accordance with local guidelines and company policies and delivering services that are aligned to contractual and governance requirements. In addition to your supervisory duties, you will work clinically as a Radiographer and complete MRI procedures, coaching other members of staff where necessary. You will also maintain and continually develop an efficient imaging service, optimising patient care. What are some of the other things you will do? Supervise a team of Radiographers undertaking modality specific imaging procedures Undertake MRI scans when required in line with existing modality specific clinical guidelines and protocols (MHRA Guidance 2007, IR(ME)R 2000, Code of Clinical Practice) Conduct competency assessments at regular intervals, ensuring any development needs are identified and followed up Oversee the recruitment, appointment and induction of new clinical staff Arrange rotas for clinical staff across the South West Ensure good communication is maintained with the team to deliver a smooth-running service Deal with day to day staff queries, liaising with appropriate support functions where required to resolve the queries within a reasonable timeframe Take ownership of governance activities i.e. audits, personal development, and team meetings with the support of your colleagues Typically work 2x clinical shifts and the remaining 12 hours in admin duties You should apply if you: Have the ability to supervise and lead a team, instilling confidence in your co-workers Are calm in challenging situations and works well under pressure Have experience of undertaking basic and complex MRI procedures Have a BSc in diagnostic radiography or equivalent Hold a valid professional membership (HCPC registration) Have a professional and cooperative attitude towards patients, customers and colleagues Have a valid driving license and are flexible to work across various mobile sites in the South West
